Whitewater Rafting

No vacation would be complete without a whitewater adventure down one of the rivers of western North Carolina or eastern Tennesee's Blue Ridge Mountains. The Nolichucky and Watauga River are both conveniently located near Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Asheville, Johnson City, and Elizabethton. We also offer rafting on the New River in Western North Carolina, near Todd, NC. All full-day rafting trips include a professionally trained and certified guide in every boat as well as Lunch!

Family Rafting with Small Children

The Watauga River's gentle rapids offer the ideal setting for even the smallest of children and non-swimmers alike. Located in Elizabethton, TN, just a short drive from Boone, NC, this rafting trip is geared toward first-timer rafters, and provides your entire family a safe and fun experience in the great outdoors. Older children have the choice of riding in self-bailing rafts or funyaks, while the smallest ride with the security of a guide in a raft. High Adventure Rafting

The Nolichucky River flows through the renowned Nolichucky Gorge beginning near Asheville, North Carolina and flowing into Tennessee. The trip is classified as family-level high adventure with class III and IV rapids, and can enjoyed by rafters of all ages and skill level (no experience necessary). During your 11-mile trip down the river, you and your trip will spend the entirety of your adventure with in the confines of the U.S. National Forest System.
