Extreme Class V Rafting
on Wilson Creek Gorge

The most extreme whitewater adventure in the Blue Ridge Mountains can be found in Wilson Creek Gorge, just a short drive from Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, North Carolina (very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway). This two-and-a-half-mile run feeds off of Grandfather Mountain and is one of the most recent additions to the National Wild and Scenic River System, a division of the National Forest Service. Wilson Creek is one of the only rivers in North Carolina that features Class V Rapids, A+ scenery, and, of course, a Class V “WOW” factor. The boiling hydraulics and powerful rapids will be sure to give both seasoned rafters as well as first timers the experience of a lifetime. Ranging from 10-foot waterfalls to an 18-foot stair step drop, this whitewater trip is a must for your THINGS-TO-DO list during your visit to the High Country of Boone, NC. It's worth the drive if you are planning a vacation in the East Tennessee area. Trust us! You will have the time of your life!
